Itinerary

Day 1 - Board the splendid Wagons-Lits carriages of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express at Venice Santa Lucia station. Throughout your journey you will be attended by your own personal steward. After you have settled into your comfortable compartment it will soon be time to dress for dinner. Why not sip an aperitif in the Bar Car, listening to the sounds of the baby grand piano before taking your seat in one of the beautifully restored restaurant cars. After dinner you may want to linger in the bar and when you are ready you can retire to your compartment, which has now been transformed into a cosy bedroom.

Day 2 - Breakfast is served in your compartment before arriving at Vienna station in the morning.

Transfer to your chosen hotel for two nights (accommodation and transfers not included).

Day 3 - Enjoy the many attractions of one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

Day 4 - Rejoin the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express in the afternoon and settle back into your private compartment. A delicious afternoon tea is served by your personal steward in the comfort of your compartment. A leisurely four course dinner is served, prepared on board by our skilled French chefs. Enjoy a brandy or liqueur with convivial company in the Bar before retiring for the night.

Day 5 - Continental breakfast is brought to you by your steward as you travel towards Paris. A delicious brunch is served in the restaurant cars as you travel on towards the Channel. After crossing the Channel board the cream and umber carriages of the British Pullman for the journey to London. A traditional English afternoon tea accompanied by a glass of champagne is served to you at your table as you watch the gentle scenery of Kent pass by before arriving at your destination, London Victoria.

Itinerary

Days 1 & 2 - Venice
Fly from London Gatwick or Heathrow to Venice and transfer to your chosen hotel for a two-night stay. Explore at leisure Venice, a city of countless bridges, canals where a unique atmosphere awaits you. An optional sightseeing tour 'Venetian Tapestry' is available to you on selected Tuesdays, the remainder of your time is at leisure.

Day 3 - On the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express
Depart Venice during the evening on board the blue and gold carriages of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express and travel overnight to Vienna.

Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight on board.

Days 4 & 5 - Vienna
Arrive in Vienna in the morning for a two-night stay and enjoy your time at leisure to explore independently. On Day 5, join fellow travellers for a morning city tour, commencing with a drive along famous "Ringstrasse", then proceeding to the Imperial Palace for a visit.

Day 6 - On the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express
Re-board the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express during the afternoon and travel overnight towards Paris.

Breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner included. Overnight on board.

Day 7 - On the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express
Travel through France and after crossing the channel board the British Pullman carriages of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express for the final part of your journey, arriving at your destination, London Victoria, late afternoon.

Breakfast, brunch and afternoon tea served on board.

Exclusive sightseeing tour: Venetian Tapestry
Enjoy a morning ride on the lagoon, followed by a visit to the ancient studios of the Bevilacqua family. Here, precious yarns are woven into fabrics used to furnish royal palaces and residences throughout the world. The tour operates on selected Tuesdays and Saturdays, £95 per person.
Note: the factory is closed on Saturdays in July and all August, and an alternative tour is provided.

Cabin Suite: A Suite is made up of two interconnecting double cabins. At night, choose between single beds or keep one cabin as a lounge, with upper and lower beds in the other cabin.

Fly from London Heathrow to Vienna for a three-night stay at your chosen hotel. Enjoy your time in Vienna at leisure. This beautiful, baroque city, home to the rulers of the Hapsburg Empire, yet with many contemporary touches, offers a wide choice of sightseeing options to suit all tastes. The Palace of Schönbrunn, The Hofburg and St Stephen's Cathedral are just some of the attractions not to be missed.

Day 4 - On the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express
Morning at leisure before boarding the blue and gold carriages of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express in the early afternoon for an overnight journey back to London.

Afternoon tea and dinner included. Overnight on board.

Day 5 - On the Venice Simplon-Orient Express
Journey through Northern France and after crossing the Channel board the British Pullman for your journey through the Kentish countryside, arriving at London Victoria late afternoon.

Breakfast, brunch and afternoon tea served on board.
